John LaRocca

John has been both a General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer with over twenty years of in-house experience as a c-suite partner. Most recently, John served as the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for Y-mAbs Therapeutics, Inc.

Previously, John served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Aerie Pharmaceuticals and as Executive Vice President, Secretary, General Counsel and Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Eagle Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He also served as   Deputy General Counsel, Vice President Legal – Americas at Actavis plc (now Allergan).

Lisa LeCointe-Cephas

Currently serving as Chief Compliance Officer at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Lisa has leveraged over fifteen years of experience in corporate governance, compliance strategy, and cultivating ethical cultures within highly regulated industries. Her role centers on driving organizational integrity—empowering compliant business growth, ensuring alignment with global regulatory standards, and championing a values-based approach to decision-making.

Prior to J&J, Lisa held various senior leadership positions at DLA Piper and Merck, where she led business strategy, legal analysis, complex compliance initiatives, and guided cross-functional teams across the life sciences sector. These experiences have shaped her commitment to building resilient, forward-looking legal and compliance strategies that empower innovation and safeguard trust.

Donna Miller

Donna Miller is former global general counsel for an international medical device company with over fifteen years of experience managing complex litigation and investigations while supporting commercial strategy.

Donna brings extensive experience and a global perspective to client solutions. She is sensitive to the multi-regional impact of legal issues and works collaboratively across geographies to align interests and arrive at successful outcomes.

Tyrone Thomas

Tyrone currently serves as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Doral Renewables (dba Doral LLC), an industry leader in renewable energy development. Tyrone is a proven people leader and seasoned legal/strategic business advisor. Tyrone leverages his broad experience to provide effective counsel on a wide range of business, legal, administrative, crisis management, and risk management issues.

Tyrone has led diverse teams of professionals in connection with the development, permitting, acquisition, disposition (development transfers and build transfers) and project financing of numerous utility-scale energy facilities with a total value of over $7,000,000,000. Prior to Doral, Tyrone served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Invenergy LLC.

Anna Maria Vitek (moderator)

Anna Maria Vitek serves as Executive Director, Lateral Partner Integration and Strategy at DLA Piper focusing on strategic planning and integration for lateral partners across the US. Focusing on our Disputes Vertical, Anna Maria works with the Vertical leadership in helping to manage lateral acquisition and integration and strategy for the Litigation, Intellectual Property, Employment, and Regulatory Practice Groups. Anna Maria previously served as Of Counsel at the firm.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Anna Maria was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Avon Products Inc. for Latin America, serving in that role for over twenty years. Anna Maria also served as GC and CCO at GfK, a market research company. Before going in-house, Anna Maria was law firm associate working in the Latin America Practice Group. Prior, she clerked in the Southern District of New York for the Honorable Judge John S. Martin, Jr.
