Lawyers are ‘people first; then lawyers’. The O Shaped Lawyer programme sees lawyers of the future practicing in a more human-centric and emotionally intelligent way, elevating the delivery of legal services beyond technical excellence. The mindset of an O Shaped Lawyer takes a more rounded approach to the role of a lawyer enabling you to provide your customers with a better service in a more diverse, inclusive and healthier environment.
Facilitated by key members of the O Shaped Lawyer working group (several of whom are senior in-house lawyers), this practical webinar will take you through the ‘Five Os framework’ to help equip you with the tools to develop the right mindset, behaviours and actions on your journey towards becoming an O Shaped Lawyer of the future:
- Be optimistic – adopt an optimistic mindset to help become a valued business partner, and not be seen as a risk averse business blocker.
- Make and take opportunities – make and take opportunities looking outside of the traditional spheres of lawyer influence.
- Be original – be creative and innovative in your approach to problem solving, looking forward, not backward.
- Be open – adopt a growth mindset through which you are always open to new ideas and perspectives.
- Take ownership – focus on taking accountability for business-driven outcomes beyond pure technical legal advice.
