The Art of Dealing with Challenging People: A Guide to Loving your Nemesis

The Art of Dealing with Challenging People: A Guide to Loving your Nemesis

| WIN In-house counsel | United Kingdom

How much time and energy do we waste rehearsing difficult conversations in our heads, or rehashing workplace chats that went sideways? Could there be another way? Succeeding as an in-house lawyer is increasingly about more than just your legal talent. We welcome you to our workshop - The Art of Dealing with Challenging People hosted by Neil Seligman.

When conflict arises, what is your best move? Often we fall back into learned behaviours that can leave us and our nemesis feeling guilty, bitter, or just depleted. We forget too that the most challenging person to deal with is often ourselves. So how can we overcome our conditioning? How can we become the person we would love to be, even when the proverbial hits the fan? In this practical workshop we will journey boldly towards our own inner roadblocks as we seek to grow in self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Our aim: to lead courageously whether conflict is present or absent and to communicate clearly, honestly and compassionately.

And it’s definitely worth lawyers exploring happiness. An overwhelming body of research has now been published that demonstrates conclusively the strong links between happiness and success.
